RUBBER BAND FEELING CHARITABLE

We have been working with Ruth Evans, a student at Joseph Rowntree School, to publicise a charity event. The event is at the Parvin Indian Restaurant in Haxby on the 29th March. You will get a 5 course meal (excluding drinks) for £14.95 not a bad deal I'm sure you'll agree!

Richard developed a quirky illustration style and designed the event poster and flyer free of charge, to help towards this worthy cause. All proceeds will contribute towards sending Joseph Rowntree students on an educational trip to Kenya, where they will work on projects within the community.

ANOTHER NEW ARRIVAL

Congratulations to new mum and dad, Nadia and Kevin, auntie Sara, and (unofficial) uncle Richard - not forgetting baby Phoebe! Richard has illustrated the happy trio by way of congratulations.

Excellent turn out for RESOLUTION

Rubber Band's first ever design art exhibition was very well received amongst clients, friends and the York public, with over 100 people coming to the preview evening. Thank you all for coming and supporting the cause.

The exhibition contained design and illustration work from a selection of York college students. Special thanks to Ian, Jennifer, Jonny and Laura for showing their work – the standard was excellent and every piece of work gathered a number of compliments over the course of the weekend.

Our New Years RESOLUTION

Rubber Band launches first ever DESIGN ART EXHIBITION
Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st January 2010.

Three talented young artists: Ian McNulty, Jennifer De Bethel and Jonny Wilson have been hand-picked by Rubber Band Graphic Design and showcased at The ArtSpace, 8 Tower Street, York.

The lines between art and design are becoming more and more blurred. We feel that this is something to embrace and celebrate, and are doing just that in January!

RESOLUTION brings together the world of graphic design with the creative art of illustration. Expect modern work in a mesh of styles, combining computer aided illustration with the more traditional media of art and design.
